Derrick Usher is a California native from Springville, a small mountain town that serves as the gateway to Sequoia National Forest. Having lived in Hanford, California, San Antonio, Texas, and now Pensacola, Florida, Derrick brings a broad perspective and deep appreciation for the diverse communities served.

Before joining Levin Rinke Realty, Derrick built a career rooted in hands on experience across construction, renovation, and resale. This background includes owning and operating a resale shop focused on upcycled furniture and collectibles, extensive work in construction and home renovation, and providing handyman services. Alongside this work, Derrick maintained an active real estate practice in California, gaining valuable experience representing buyers and sellers and guiding clients through complex real estate transactions.

Derrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, which provides a strong foundation in effective communication, negotiation, and client advocacy. Combined with practical knowledge of real estate investment and property improvement, this experience allows Derrick to offer clients meaningful insight into both the financial and personal aspects of buying, selling, and investing in real estate.

Known for being a team player, hard worker, and highly invested professional, Derrick approaches each transaction with tenacity, experience, and an optimistic attitude. A relatable style and comprehensive understanding of real estate processes help clients feel informed, supported, and confident from start to finish.

Outside of real estate, Derrick enjoys upcycling furniture, completing cosmetic home renovations, and pursuing creative, hands on projects. With a personal connection to the military through an active duty Navy spouse, Derrick is especially passionate about serving clients within the Navy community and supporting their unique real estate needs.
